The Course
The ever increasing frequency and severity of mould growth and condensation related damp is increasing across the Uk. This half day workshop is designed to provide landlords, housing associations and homeowners the necessary information to correctly diagnose damp, mould and condensation problems. Design and specify ventilation systems to regulatory requirements and assess performance of existing systems.
This unique course is suitable for anyone involved in the diagnostics of damp and mould and the design and installation of retrofitting fans and mechanical ventilation solutions in existing homes.
Course Overview
This is a half day-day workshop combining classroom based instruction and practical exercises. Topics covered include
- Condensation & mould – how and why do mould and condensation occur
- Measuring and testing for condensation and mould – psychometric charts, heat and humidity, vapour pressure, data logging,
- The relationship between heating, insulation and ventilation –
- Building Regulations – regulatory compliance and guidance documents overview
- The methods of ventilation –.design and specification of ventilation systems and how they meet the requirements of part F

Course Cost
The fee for the course is just £150 inc. V.A.T. at 20%.
The training course takes place between 9am and 12:30pm at our brand new training facility at
PAM Ties, Electric House, Lime Street, Tyldesley, Greater Manchester M29 8EN.

There is a £50 charge if the course is cancelled or moved to a new date 72 hours prior.
