Effective bonding
Enables plastering onto smooth substrates where there is little key allowing effective adhesion of plaster coats.
Suction control and crack prevention
Helps to prevent shrinkage and cracking by controlling suction on dry, porous substrates such as sandstone or old brickwork.
Reduces efflorescence and staining
Contains a salt inhibitor to prevent surface efflorescence. Minimises the risk of sulphate attack and staining on plasters from contaminated substrates.
Breathable
Limelite Easy Bond is breathable and won’t seal moisture into the substrate like an impermeable SBR or latex base primer. It also won’t re-emulsify when damp like PVA based primer.
Easy to use
Limelite Easy-Bond is easy to use, only requiring the addition of water and is applied with a brush.
Responsibly sourced
All of our products are manufactured in the UK and certified under BES 6001 Responsible sourcing. Tarmac was the first company within the cement and lime sectors to be awarded the BES6001 ‘Excellent’ rating across its entire product range.
Application
Limelite Easy-Bond should be brushed onto the substrate around 15 minutes before applying the first plaster coat. Limelite Easy-Bond can also be applied by spray machine for covering larger areas faster.
Clean Up & Spillages
Dry powders should be swept up and disposed of in accordance with Local Authority regulations.
Mixing
5kg of Limelite Easy-Bond should be mixed with 2.5 litres of clean potable water. Once mixed, Limelite Easy-Bond will give a working time of 15 minutes. Only mix the amount of material that can be applied in time. The performance characteristics of Limelite Easy-Bond are dependent on temperature – higher or lower temperatures will result in reduced or extended setting times, respectively.
